The City of Lincoln, IL supports our veterans.

Central Illinois Veterans Commission (CIVC)

Provide veterans with holistic services designed to eliminate barriers in obtaining permanent sustainable housing. The CIVC will partner with the VA, civic organizations, human service agencies, the Board of Health and community colleges to ensure each veteran has access to services. The inclusive services offered are, but not limited to, mental health counseling, dental, workplace & financial skills, life coaching, and housing programs.

Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs

The mission of the Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs (IDVA) is to empower veterans and their families to thrive. We do this by assisting them in navigating the system of federal, state and local resources and benefits; by providing long-term health care for eligible veterans in our Veterans’ Homes; and by partnering with other agencies and non-profits to help veterans address education, mental health, housing, employment, and other challenges. Additionally, IDVA assists veterans in referrals to the US Department of Veterans' Affairs for federal assistance programs and VA medical centers.
